Who are you guys?
À la maison & co. is a Quebec company specializing in decorative objects and lifestyle. Through our product offering, we wish to offer aesthetic and affordable objects and accessories for the home. With a concern for durability, we favor a slow-made approach that focuses on product quality and attention to finishing details.

Where are you located?
The workshop is located in Quebec City, more precisely in the industrial district. This is where we do everything from A to Z, from manufacturing to what you see on our social networks, including shipping orders. This workshop is not open to the public for the moment but you can find our products in several boutiques.

How long has the company been in business?
À la maison & co. (formerly known as La petite boite co.) has been in existence since 2014 and has been growing ever since. In the meantime, we have made several collections of products with different materials (denim, wood, cotton, silk-screen printed patterns, etc.), changed offices several times and expanded the team.

Why did you change the name of La petite boite co.?

At the beginning of 2020 we changed the name of the company from La petite boite co. to À la maison & co. because we wanted to mark a change. With this new name, we want to offer products for the whole house, things that make us feel good at home. Objects for the kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. It also allowed us to renew our logo and our website.

Where does the name À la maison & co. come from?
This new name demonstrates the wide range of products we offer. But above all, it is mainly to illustrate the feeling of well-being that we wish to share with our products. À la maison & co. because there's never a better place to be than at home. You can translate it by home sweet home.

Where are your products made?
The majority of our products are made locally and/or ethically with care and attention to detail.


Where do your fabrics and materials for manufacturing come from?
We select our fabrics for the manufacture of our products based on quality and durability. We buy our products from wholesale distributors and Quebec businesses.

Can I find your products in stores?
Yes, we have several points of sale in Quebec and Canada. You can find one near you by consulting the following list. However, some products are exclusive to our website so you may not find them in stores.

I would like to have a custom-made product, is it possible?
Depending on our traffic, we sometimes accept custom orders for various needs or occasions. Contact us: info@alamaison.co and tell us about your project and we'll see what we can do.

How to order on the site?
You just have to go on the site and do as on any online store, add the items to your cart taking care to select the size, the color and the quantity and then proceed to the payment of your cart.

What payment methods do you accept?
All online payments are secure. We accept payments by credit card such as Visa, Mastercard. Simply enter your card number, expiration date and CVC when paying.

What currencies do you accept?

Our prices are listed in Canadian dollars.

Are there taxes on your products?
In Canada, taxes are applied according to your province of residence. They will appear on your transaction statement before proceeding with payment. For the United States, there are no taxes on products.

I have a coupon code, how do I apply it?
If you have a coupon code from a previous order or a newsletter, we just have to apply it when you pay for your cart.

I would like to take advantage of your cushion duo promotion, how does it work?
To take advantage of the "Full moon" and "Eclipse" cushion duo promotion at a reduced price, you just have to go directly to the product sheet on the website and select the two cushions you want. For the duo "Full moon", you will have 2 round cushions in the colors of your choice. For the duo "Eclipse", you will have 1 small cushion and the 2nd one is bigger, in the colors of your choice. These offers cannot be combined with any other promotion.

Our shipping costs vary by province.of Canada and for orders shipped to the United States and internationally.

Is there a tracking number for my order?
Yes, most of our orders are sent with a tracking number unless otherwise stated.

When will I receive my order if I live in Canada?
For deliveries in Canada, you should receive your order within 3 to 10 business days from the date of shipment. The shipping date varies from 3 to 10 days following the date of the order considering the manufacturing delays.

When will I receive my order if I live in the United States?
For deliveries to the United States, you should receive your order within 10 to 15 days of the shipping date. The shipping date varies from 3 to 10 days from the date of the order considering the manufacturing delays. You may have to pay an additional fee for customs clearance of your package upon receipt. It is your responsibility to assume these costs if applicable.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship internationally. We ship to the following countries: Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Portugal and the United Kingdom. If your country of residence is not in this list, please contact us so we can arrange something for you. Please allow 10 to 30 days for shipping. I need my item quickly, how can I make sure I get it on time?
We advise you to take the expedited shipping option to ensure that you receive your package at the desired time and for an additional fee. In Canada, it will arrive between 1 to 3 business days following the shipping date, in the United States it will arrive between 4 to 5 business days following the shipping date. The shipping date varies from 3 to 10 days following the date of the order considering the manufacturing delays.

I'm waiting for my package and I still haven't received it after more than 20 business days following the order.
Packages are considered lost and or stolen after 30 working days following the date of shipment. If the product has been lost or stolen, we will return one at our expense. You will receive it within the shipping time according to your residence from that date.

What kind of packaging do you use for shipping?
We mostly use Noissue's 100% biodegradable, plant-based bags. They can be composted domestically at home in your compost bin or industrially in your city's facilities. All you have to do is remove the labels and stickers from the bag as they cannot be composted. Since we had some quantities of shipping envelopes left over from the past, it is possible that you will receive your package in a recycled, reusable plastic envelope. For the protection of the items, we prefer the least amount of packaging possible.

Is it possible to have gift wrapping?

Yes, we offer gift wrapping free of charge. To do so, write us directly at the same time of purchase. The gift wrap is made of recyclable kraft paper.

I live in Quebec City, is it possible to pick it up at the store instead of using the postal service?

Returns and guarantees

I did receive the order but i changed my mind (size does not work for me, color is not what i thought it would be, just changed my mind). How does it work for returns?
We accept returns, exchanges and order cancellations, you only have to respect certain conditions. Contact us within 14 days after delivery. Return items within 30 days of delivery undamaged and in their original packaging. The return costs are at your expense. Cancellation must be requested within 3 days after purchase. Refunds will be made promptly after cancellation of the order. In the case of a return, the order will be refunded at the time it is received by us. We will not accept returns on promotional items or custom orders.

I received my products but they are damaged, what can I do?
Before each shipment, all products go through our quality control. Although this is rare, it is possible that an error has crept in or that the product is damaged during transport. If this is the case, please contact us, we will remedy the situation quickly.

I have been using one of your products for some time and it unfortunately broke (broken zipper, seam that comes loose, etc.), what can I do?
Although all products go through our quality control before each shipment, it is possible that an error may have occurred. Contact us and we will remedy the situation as the case may be.


Maintenance

What is the best way to care for my products?
The best way is to soak in cold water with a mild soap and wash by hand. Air dry. Iron as needed.

I washed my product but it is wrinkled, can I iron it?
Yes, however, use a cotton cloth over the product in question to prevent the iron from coming into direct contact with the fabric.
